The goal of the project was to develop, evaluate and convert concepts for the safe and dynamic linking of manufacturer-indipendent medical device components in the operating room and clinic into standardization activities in pre-competitive research and development of medical technology.
In the framework of the OR.NET project (General Ministry of Education and Research – BMBF funding) CUREMeD and the Chair of Medical Engineering developed a new methodology in order to integrate a HMI description into a technical medical device profile. This methodology supports the human risk analysis and the systematic design of user interfaces in the framework of open networked medical devices.
