The COVID-19 pandemic poses a major challenge for the entire world. Some of the infected become seriously ill and are in urgent need of intensive care ventilators. Despite the increase in production capacity of established manufacturers, some countries are reaching their limits and cannot meet the demand for ventilators. This shortage can hit developing countries particularly hard. For this reason, the PV1000 project is developing a simple but high-performance ventilator for intensive care medicine. CUREMeD supports in particular the development and evaluation of the user interfaces.
